Assoc. Prof. Alva Hendi Muhammad is a permanent faculty member at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta.
He currently serves as the Head of the Doctoral Program in Informatics, having previously served as the Secretary of the Master’s Program in Informatics through Distance Learning. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, while his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology were obtained from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta.
This academic background has strengthened his expertise in information systems engineering, artificial intelligence, and technology governance, providing a strong foundation for his research and teaching activities.

His academic work focuses on multidisciplinary research integrating artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, information security, and IT governance. His research interests include the development of decision-support models and expert systems, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in engineering and educational technology. He is also actively involved in developing AI-based learning approaches and data-driven analytics systems to improve the effectiveness of decision-making in the education and government sectors. His recent publications in international journals and conference proceedings explore the application of machine learning for information security risk classification and prediction.

Beyond his roles as a researcher and educator, Dr. Alva Hendi Muhammad is actively engaged in the academic community at both national and international levels, serving as a reviewer and a member of technical program committees for various scientific conferences. His contributions to higher education extend beyond teaching and research to curriculum development and the governance of doctoral programs that promote innovative and collaborative research. He is recognized as an important contributor to the development of the research ecosystem at Universitas Amikom Yogyakarta, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, information security, and digital innovation.
